This was a quiet week for entries and you would think that would make it easy to pick a winner.....well you would be wrong.  All our entries were absolutely gorgeous, however, we do have to pick a winner and this week it is Diane.

SC 03312...

This week the challenge is set by Libby.  This is a sketch for you to work with and the other part of the challenge is to use distressing technique on your project

Distressing can be done several ways, here are a few techniques hints –

·         Gently rub a distressing ink pad with a sponge and rub ink around the edges of paper
·         Brush ink with a direct-to-paper technique (brush ink pad directly onto surface of paper with gentle strokes)
·         Crumple paper, flatten, and rub distress inks on paper. Paper can be sprayed with water and dried a heat tool to set
·         Sand the surfaces of your card stock to achieve an antique effect

Any of these techniques will give you an antique or vintage look which can vary with the colour and ink you use and how much you apply to the paper. So, have a bit of fun and create a project which utilises both the sketch and distressing techniques.

Your project is not limited to a card.

Welcome to a new week & of course a new challenge.  This week it is a very easy one & of course we know how you all love to use DSP (Designer Series Paper).  So please join us this week - we have some lovely samples..... MORE importantly, we want to see your gorgeous creations.

Thank you Libby for saying "Yes" to being our Guest Designer for March & for stepping in while Gwen is away.  Along with creating a sample for our challenges this month, Libby will also be setting 2 challenges for us.  We would love for you to join in our challenges & support Libby while she is with us.

We are also really excited to announce that we have two of our previous our Ray of Sunshine winners joining us this week as Guest Designers.  I'm sure you will remember the fabulous work of Jean and Leigh.  From today onwards we will be having a previous Ray of Sunshine winner or two join us in our weekly challenges.   Be sure to join us each week and check in on Saturday to see if you could be one of our upcoming Guest Designers.
